My buddy just picked up a 92 and he loves it. I have not ridden behind it so I can't really say. It is a V-drive CC so I can't see where you can go wrong. I know of at least one other member who has one of these.

I have seen positive things about them. The hull is the same as the Barefoot and the Martinique also shared the hull in the 90s. It is more of a V shaped hull that is v'd all the way from bow to transom. I think that they are a little more sensitive to weight from side to side. I haven't ridden behind one, only researched them. Seems like I read somewhere that with weight, the wake is steeper than the 2001 hull Ski Nautique. They were made in the era when Correct Craft was using wood stringers and floors, but Correct Crafts aren't as prone to rot as other companies are, at least in my experience.

Here is mine. I've had it for 4 years and it has been pretty solid. With the ballast filled, it has a pretty decent wake. I'm always looking at the newer boats, but mine has pretty much everything I need in a boat. I don't have any pics of the wake with the ballast full, but I will try and get some shots in the near future.

I really like the Excel, and seeing the pics of the wake is making it hard for me to keep to my commitment to not purchase a boat for a few years. Nice rides for sure.

If I found one for 8, I am pretty sure I would pick it up. I looked at one in Orlando that they said 9900 would take it, but I am just going to enjoy being a boat mooch for the next few years. The deal would have to be good to change my mind.

1500 would be a steal. There was a barefoot on ebay for $6500. The guy just raised the price to 15k.

That is probably the best deal that I have heard of in a long time. I would have paid 1500 for just the hull on an Excel. Enjoy and post up some pics.

Was the person you bought this from in stable mental health? A trailer, and a tune up < $8,500. Nice snag. At that price I would have picked it up for S**ts & Giggles and told people it cost about 2.5 board setups.
