Wow what a change. It was as if someone had flicked a light switch and made all the kids go back to school and all the Wally’s go home. Our home lake Tulloch is pretty small it gets even smaller when the few places that you can wakeboard you have to share with other people. I’m not complaining I love our lake. It’s no different than any other lake. You have to get up early or hang out till the sun go's down to try to get a set in. We spent the week at the lake last week and got to have the lake all to ourselves. What a difference not having to rush to do anything. No rushing to get down to the water. No rushing to get your rider up before another boat comes. When your set is over just lying in the water and relaxing. Taking you time pulling the rope in. It go's on and on. Its as if your whole routine just can slow down and you can take all in. The law has put his boat away and more of the regular annoyances are not around. It was a great way to fall back in love with the sport. Here are a few random shot's we took over the 10-day's we were up.

It's tough to beat early spring and fall. We've been getting out early afternoon and can sneak in a few hours with not another soul on the lake. Some sacrafices have to be made the other night we had to ride in the rain but it was epic.

I think that is the first photo you have EVER posted of someone riding behind your boat

We get the cleared off lake now in S.E. Wisconsin, but the wind always shifts to straight out of the north or south which ruins our lake, add just a touch of east or west with that and we're golden, but straight on and it's worse than a weekend full of wallys

Doug: Bullard's should be awesome hope you have great water.
HNP: Yes spring is also another great time of year
The water in my lake is not all the way up till late in the spring and its a tad bit chilly but its still great Green hills and people still havent taken the boat covers of their boats.
Peter: Yup your right Not to many photo's of people behind the boat. Heidi had to take the shot's herself because "We Ride Dirty" (no 3rd) LOL. I figure there is plenty of people on this sight to post pictures of them ride'n and talking about their trick list.
Ill stick to my specialty taking pic's of boats overloaded with SUB's

Water like that is so rare around here. The first pic - pretty much never.

It's been awhile since I heard the "hissing" sound a board makes on glass.

I'm just bummed it go soo cold, soo fast this year This is usually my favorite time of year to ride. Heck, it's already snowed 4 times in Tahoe before Halloween. It's been a crazy summer (and I don't mean that in a good way). Too much wind all summer. Too much rain/cold this fall. Oh well. Time to break out the suit for the winter.

i dont like the rain and cold as much as anyone else but we need it bad. We spend the majority of our time at lake don pedro and it is super low. we need water bad up there... there is absolutely no where to ride.

Wow I guess I'm more spoiled than I thought, we get that pretty much every day year round. All you gotta do is head up the inter coastal and find a spot by yourself. Just south of where we keep the boat is like a 2-3 mile straight stretch that they close off several hours a day because of no bridge openings during rush hour. All you gotta do is get in there before the last opening and it's like a private lake of glass for at least 2 hours twice a day. Even other times it's not tough to find a private section... Did I mention the water temps still almost 80 degrees :-) The pic's of the lakes do look amazing though.

Lakeski, OK I gotta ask what kind of boat do you have, I didn't think Toyota made boats?
Old     (lakeski)      Join Date: Dec 2006       10-22-2007, 5:26 PM Reply
AJ, you are right. Superior's very cold year round, that's why no one's behind the boat.

Mike, the boat's a Toyota Epic D-drive without any weight in that photo. It has a Lexus V-8 engine. Toyota also made V-drives. Search Toyota Epic on this web site and I'm sure you'll find some info. Or go to www.epicmarine.com for complete info on Toyota Epic. (I don't want to hijack a great thread.)

Actually a 211. I was surprised too by how it dwarfs the Moomba.

Moomba will be for sale by the way.
