prostar 209-
have it somewhat dialed in, Full ballast riding @ 10.7mph...usually portside curve-looking to make the wake a little larger, it's nice when we have 10 people in the boat, but want a good wake when there is only 3 or four...plus I thought my wake was okay til I rode behind my buddy's XSTAR,,,now I am thinking I need to add some weight...that is fully exploit my ride,,,prior to biteing the bullet and simply buying a star... would like to know what anyone else is doing to surf this boat?

After adding up to 2,800 pounds I'm selling my boat. Some boats are just better.

Just short of sinking my boat I've done everything I can to improve my surfing wake. While I have reached a point where I have a wake that I like I'm well beyond what is safe and reasonable.

X-Star might be better than the X-9 regardless of what you do. Surfing has become such a large part of what I do I'm looking to step up to a boat with a better surfing hull. So, I'm also biting the bullet or I'm going boat less for a while.

I've ridden behind an X1/X2 whatever the 205 hull X is, sorry Roy I forgot if yours is a 1 or a 2. I don't have any first hand experience with the X-9. There are three hulls that you could call an X-Star, not sure which one you’re talking about.

I have a 07 240 enzo w/ enzo sac plumbed into factory system (4) wet sounds pro 80, (6) 6.5" and (1) 12" sub with (3) Foo amps, alarm system. Blue LED you have to see behind all grills and inside with all every factory option 110 hrs. Oh Dbot5 racks with strap on's come with it $60,000.00. The boat retails new for $75,000 with about $10,000 in stero and lighting upgrades. Awesome boat runs great all maintenance done just want a new 08.

Depends, I know what I want to move up to, I'd like to get an Enzo. Problem is I've never surfed behind one. Its supposed to be very good. I have surfed behind the Avalanche several times and really like that surf wake. The Avy is only a half foot longer than my boat but much more roomy inside.

If I don't do well selling my current boat I'll be a boat whore for a while. I can see it now, "Oh damn, Ed brought the 9 footer again."

Scott, that’s what I keep hearing. $60K is well over my limit. I’ve got to sell my current boat before I can really do anything. As you can see I’m thinking about it a lot.

Also, have your family come to Pensacola Beach for a vacation and we'll have you out on our boat anytime you want. We'd love to have you help us really get the boat dialed in on both sides. We can get the port side really good. The darkside not so good.

Hey let's get back on the X-9 - Sorry about the hi-jack

Hmmm... I love Pensacola, white sandy beaches.

I have a lot of travel to work around. My daughter is a HS Sophomore and scholastic overachiever. She's starting to dominate vacation plans to look at colleges. So far she's looking at Arizona State University, Stanford, Cornell, and Wake Forest (my uncle used to teach at Wake Forest).
