Now that the date is getting close, do we want to do any meal sharing or pot lucks?

Also who is planning to bring boats? We would be happy to bring ours if others prefer to leave theirs at home, we just need to know. We don't want to bring ours if there are going to be more than enough boats.

Also, when is everyone coming? We will be there Friday morning and will head home Monday afternoon.

I'd love to do either a potluck or share meals, whatever works best for everyone. Not sure if we're bringing the boat yet. We're arriving Friday morning (or possibly Thur eve) and leaving Monday early afternoon.

We could do group meals each night/morning. Have families take turns. That way we are not all cooking every time.

I kinda like the pot luck dinner idea and everyone can fend for themselves for breakfast & lunch.

Maybe Saturday & Sunday nights? I would be happy to pitch in some hobo potatoes one night and something else another night. Perhaps we can all pitch in and have Tim pick up some meat from Freedom meats YUM.

Potluck dinners sound good to us. If everything goes right I'm going up Friday morning to set up camp my family will hopefully come up that nite. Our son is 14 and very good at it. If we do not have to work I will bring the boat. If we have to work we will make a lot of day trips.

Denise & Scott, welcome to our group!!!

Hey Gary that's not a nice way to talk about our kids!!! Funny you're the biggest kid and pain the arse of them all....

As far as food: Let's start a menu. I think bringing your own meat is a good idea, that way it cuts down on the expense for everyone.

Sat. Gary & Stacy - Cabbage Salad
Sun. Gary & Stacy - Corn on the Cob & Garlic Bread.

Head Count: Our family is 5

Renee, when we get there is there a specific site number we should give just to get through the gates. I know it will end up being whoever fits where.

Denise & Scott - When you check in, use the site number on the confirmation sheet I e-mailed you. You may not actually be in that specific site since we will be moving around in order to accommodate the 3 RV's and boats. Since you are arriving later on Friday, we should have everyone's space allotted by then. We will ensure that we have a spot for you guys. To confirm, you will have a boat, tent trailer and a large tent for this group?

Robert & Melody - you will have your boat and tent correct?
Old     (dgoose)      Join Date: Feb 2005       05-17-2006, 12:16 PM Reply
I'll be gettin in around noon. I'm in J27 I think, just look for the green GMC and red and white Bu with the huge flag. Don't think I'll be in on the potluck beeing way up at the top of the loop. I will have my 9yr old son in toe. I'll make sure to stop by and say HI. If you see me out on the lake give a honk.

Denjoe will be there as well with his 2 boys and maybe more.

Renee I think its no camp fires at all. But please let me know if that changes.

Brandon is bringing his HB. I would foresee us around there while on the water. If he doesn't run us off. He is thinking of docking it in the cove across the road from us.

Right now we have 4 boats, 3 Class A's, 1 tent trailer, and lots of tents. It is going to be fun finding space for it all in our little area. Good thing we have 5 sites for us all.

Eric and I have an arrangement... If I can go shopping on Fri night and find the new fridge, washer and dryer, before the stores close, we get to head down for the day on Saturday. We will try and be down early enough to head out on the water for a run or two. At least for me, Eric wont be riding this weekend.

As for the potluck, I dunno if we are staying late enough, but no matter what, I will chip in the garlic bread, so long as someone has an oven to cook it in or on, as we will be just in the truck.

For the dinner pot lucks, if there is a special dish you like to make feel free to bring that or perhaps another appetizer or dessert.

For the breakfast burrito's, is there anything you like on your burrito that we are missing? Or if you would like to bring more of what is already there.
