I want to mount my amps JL 500/1 JL 450/4 and cap in a mostly sealed enclosure and put a small fan on each side flowing air through. Are there any negative things I should consider before doing this? Also, what material should I use MDF, fiberglass?

I would try to make the box for your amps mounted some where where you can open and close it so that you can adjust the amps. Everytime you think your finished you some how need to adjust a gain or somthing and if your amps are mounted in a way or in a box that makes them hard to get to or adjust it makes it all that much harder. You can use mdf and then cover it with fiberglass resin or make it from 3/4 ABS plastic or corion.
