hey everyone, i have found a good deal on a 1988 mastercraft tristar 190 and i want to know a little more about this model before i travel the distance to look at it. Is the wake good for boarding?

takes a lot of weight and you have to drive it a little faster. like 24. solid boat tho.

How much how many hrs open bow

it is 8000, it has 400 hrs, and yes it is an open bow

Taking the '88 out for a ride tomorrow. But just found a '92 Prostar 205 (open bow) with about 300 hours for just a little more - wondering if anyone can compare the '88 Tristar 190 against the '92 Prostar 205 for me? Also, we ski AND wakeboard - does either boat serve both sports "reasonably" well?

go with the 205. a much better overall boat. resell will also be much more down the road.
