I'm finally looking to upgrade from my MC prostar 205 into a larger v-drive preferably around $30k. We're looking for a boat with a larger interior/storage, decent rough water ride, good board/surf wakes, and less than 600 hours. I'm not really married to MC or any other brand, but I've found a few MC X30/230 and a Nautique 226 in my price range. Any opinions on early to mid 2000's MC X-30 or similar era Nautique 226?

Whats it going to be used for? Earlier x30s are great surf boats but the wakeboard wake is mushy. For 30k u could get alot of great boats

We wakeboard but none of us are good, and we want to begin wake surfing. Would like both to be good but neither have to be pro level.

I am biased so keep that in mind. I would get this one and have a machine shop fab the tower to fit. Youd be at around 16k into it and these boats have the legacy hull. Amazing wakeboard wake and nice surf wake on either side.

Thanks britcher. I've looked at nearly all of those boats and I'd like my next one to be larger.

picked up a sanger v230 for $30 and change. great rough water ride, tons of room, awesome surf wave and awesome wake. They can be hard to come by in Texas, but keep your eyes open and be willing to drive a little. Found mine in Austin

Should be able to find a great Moomba XLV in your price range.

Someone with further knowledge can help me out here. I know my hull (99 SS VLX no wedge) was used for a number of years as the wakesetter and sunsetter hull and we've enjoyed it. I would look to see what the newest boat is that shares our hull, I bet it would be around the 30k range. It surfs great both sides and makes a pretty good wakeboard weight as well.

It's a video of us crashing, but this shows both sides of the surf wake. You can pause the video to check it out if needed

These are from far away, but here's the wakeboard wake with only about 800# in the rear locker.

Reviving my old boat search thread. I keep seeing 2005 era Tige 22V's and 2006 era Moomba LSV's that are in the mid 20k price range. I drove a Tige 22V and really liked it but haven't been able to drive a Moomba LSV yet.

Has anyone spent time in both boats that can offer opinions?
