Did anyone make it out to this event & check out any of the big air comps or rail demos? I heard Josh Smith / NCWC was scheduled to be out there as well...
It was pretty awesome! Toni Hawk and Johnny Mosely put on a pretty good show. The wakeboarding was okay for the small area they had to work with. Double-ups mostly, but still really impressive. The snowboarders and skiers were freakin' unbelieveable!
holy crap, I have always dreamed about wakeboarding in McCovey Cove every time I pass by there going to a game. Even though the water is always a bit roll-ey even when calm, the sheer awesomeness of it would be an experience.
All the riders i talked too wern't as worried about making the gap as more the landing. The landing ramp was super steep, with a small flat at the bottom. In order to get the speed for the gap, they were hot for the landing. They seemed to get it figured out real well. All accept for the chick that cased it and fell back into the gap. Thank god for the net.
Does anyone have a better pic of rich's x=star. He said the graphics are killer and we tried to go to the icer air home page but not good enough if you got one post more pics
it is aubrey, i went and talked with them on friday night. What sucked was that the wakeboarding part of the ICER Air was not even announced during the event.
What the deal!!!! Stuff like that is really frustrating when you have such a great sport and they cant even announce the wakeboard event. Thats bs. Look at what the x-games did to us this year.
