What did you, or what will you throw as your first trick of your first set of 2011? I know we all think about it throughout the winter! For me it will be a nice big old method.. only a few more weeks for me!

Just did it last week in Powell... Tested the wake with some 1/4 cuts and first real hit was a huge Tantrum... HELLO 2011

all I'm asking for is just to be able to perform some sort of Trick lol. I'm still just barely able to w2w let alone put a trick in there some where, keeping my fingers crossed this summer.

I think there is a difference in what I picture in my head and what will actually happen. Picture in head: poked stale HS 3. Actual: heelside straigt air, then realizing the boat pulls harder than i remember/ i am weak and back to basic 180s, maybe some 3s. For sure lipsliding the wake!!

A stalefish heel 3 would be pretty difficult... definitely a bit easier if it is a backside 3. In any case, good luck & have fun!

Wow lot of great riders here if these are the first tricks of the season that you throw. Props to you.

I haven't ridden since October, and my first set will be behind a new boat. I'll be focussed on keeping my board under me. :-)

I would feel like such an idiot if I hurt myself trying to throw one of my harder tricks right out of the gate!

I'll probably go with a w2w indy, poking the back leg of course!

Usually my season starts with some edging, carving, a pass or two across the wake just to think about timing and then right into a tail grab. Although last year I was working on a backroll as my first trick every set, who knows. Unless I beg borrow or steal a trip to CA or FL I'm looking at mid May before the ice is off the way winters moving!

Got out on Thursday, and went with a switch outside-in 180 to inside out backside 180. It's the first set. Have some fun with it.

^ haha. Robbie. I like the idea that you even put your 2nd trick. nice.

For my first 2 tricks its the nose grab crow mobe followed by a huge indy tantrum to the flats.....if I could do those tricks, but I cant yet. The idea to do these first trick first set is from a video of Harley on Holden in 2009 doing this. Im new to wakeboarding in these past couple years and things like that made my decision to buy a wake boat and get serious. I didnt know the whole wakeboarding gig had tricks like this until I watched videos and found out their is a pro tour and all the other great things about wake. Cant wait for the season.....hoping for a big year.
