I was shocked to see the percentages in the poll. I thought for sure people would embellish some. So this is my question with 35% that don't do inverts what keeps them/you from doing them. Time on the water, coaching, skill level, or the on that keeps me from landing blind balls.

want to progress appropriately....w2w 180's..all of them then a 3. After that I will probably have enough skill to try a tantrum or BR. PS....I just landed w2w back to back half cab and HS 180 today....on a new Ronix Krush. SO STOKED!!!!

Zac, if it doesn't matter to you then SHUT UP. I was curious and asked. I also appreciate everyone that has chimed in with real answers not fights.

lack of skill and fear of getting hurt. plus, i've just never really had the desire to try inverts. i think high jumps, grabs and surface tricks are cool. and, of course, raleys!

again i was kidding if you have paid any attention to w.w. for the past couple of months you would know where im coming from. i ride 2-3 times a week. i can bust big into the flats hs and ts with grabs fs and bs 180's i can do shifties and grabbed 180's and close to throwing a ralley. i had tantrums in the bag then tweeked my knee hard and got scarred. the deal is i have a great job im gonna be 30 at the end of the month and want to raise a family witch means i need to keep my job witch pays more than laying on a surgery table. even if i couldnt clear wake to wake i would still ride my wakeboard 3 times a week because the feeling i get when im carving over pure delta butter is irreplaceable. thats why i dont do inverts. sorry i miss understood your first post i thought you where being sarcastic and i got pissed, so i oplogize for that. people need to ride for them selves and for no one else thats why i ride. so to answer your question the reason i dont do inverts is because i dont want to. i can and i have but i dont want to. and i know now your post was more constuctive than malishous so again im sorry for jumping your ship. but if i had the legs the of an 18 y/o id be flipping like crazzy. at my point in life i think the greatest acheavment in my wakeboarding would be raising a kid that could one day do a ralley over my head.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that LACK OF KNOWLEDGE coupled with FEAR of the UNKNOWN are the two biggest obstacles that ppl can't get over or dont want to get over when goin upside down.

Mostly inexperience I would think. Most people riding more or less regularly will not try them until their second or third season. Of course some will bust them their first year.
