reason i'm asking is that in the hunt for purchasing a house, and most of the houses that fit my criteria are located down in that area.

I live in Shakopee, I havenet ridden on prior during the week much, but the weekends are very crowded! During the week will be better I am sure, but really its a lake that a lot of people go to on the weekend if they don't go to lake minnetonka.

thanks for the repies!
yea, i don't care about the weekends. pretty much every lake within 30 miles of Minniapplelips will be total crap for riding on the weekend. so is it pretty easy to find calm water then during the weeknights then...do many people wakeboard there?

Prior Lake is busy pretty much all the time, I havent ridden there for about 4 or 5 years but even back then the 6am to 9am set was about the only thing worth taking.

Corey - it's been a while since we've ridden on prior.... that 03 X star if I remember right with rediculous ballast in it.... ahh - the days of having mornings off....

Owasso - I've given up actually trying to wakeboard it, we head out and surf it, but with the boat traffic - it isn't even worth it. Oh yeah - and that launch still sucks...

Jay- i've ridden Prior a few times- I liked it. When the wind is out of the north it's got a lot of protection. Weekends are REALLY busy - Weeknights can be- days are good.

http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/regulations/boatwater/index.html (local surface use regulations), nothing stated about a spotter.

Dude I hope they don't cause we seldom had one!

Jay if you move down to PL let me know, I'm sure Brent would love to get out and split some boat time. He's rocking an 04' X-Star and is a super cool guy. I think he's got an old inboard they run for wakeskating and last time I was down there they had a couple sliders and a launch ramp.
