I've read a couple of threads on pricing for new boats. I'm looking at getting a 04 X2 with almost all of the options from the local dealer. They told me the price was 53,150. Some of the posts say you should be able to get 10 percent off manufact., is that a good guidline to go off? My local dealer will actually have to bring the boat from another dealer elsewhere in the state, so should I expect to pay more for that reason? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That's too much. The '05s are already coming out in a few weeks. Are you in California? Anything over 50,000 OUT THE DOOR is too much for an 04 X2 right now.

What are the exact options?

I think that's way too much..You should be able to do better. If not check on a Malibu VLX..it's an awesome boat too.

not really willing to say where or who I'm dealing with. I know dealers have to make their money also, I'm just trying to avoid overpaying for an 04 when the 05's are around the corner, but yet still get a good deal.

Keep in mind that some of those options you mentioned are standard. Drivers side remote,PP, and KGB. Don't let him tell you he is doing you any favors. I wouldn't pay more that 45K for an 04. Make the offer and walk. I guarantee he will call back.

Even if the boat was an '05--unless you are in Cali, anything over $50K seems pretty high.

If you are in so. cal that seems pretty close but still a little high. Just priced both x-2 and malibu vlx 04's both and believe it or not the x-2 was higher. Loved them both but went with VLX. Thing are higher down here in so cal.
