Does anyone know anything about this boat? Wake size/shape? Creature comforts? Handling? Craftsmanship? I'm looking at one for around $34,000, is that a decent price? I appreciate any help you can offer.

I would say that is a bit high for a 2001 Tige' 21V. I sold my 2000 21V two summers ago for $35k and it was loaded with every option including a big stereo.

If there is any way you can swing a 2003 22V instead I would go that direction. I own a 22V now and owned a 21V and the wake is just so much better. The improvements of the entire boat are pretty incredible over those years. I think you could get a 2003 22V for under $40k for sure. I'm not saying the 21V is a bad boat, but for a couple more grand the 22V would be worth it. Good luck!

Hey Porter......keep drivin' down the resale price of your own boats. I just sold my 2003 22v with every option for $41k.....and that was an extremely fair price! My 2002 21v sold for $39,500 the year before. I'm on my 7th Tige now....put about 75 - 100 hours each year, and consider all my resales extremely fair. Good luck Josh! The 22V has a bit better wake.....but the 21V is a fine boat too.}

Josh.....By the way....the few 2001 21v boats I've seen advertised have all been in the $34,000 range except for one listed on FLIPSELL. Check this one out....maybe you can drive to NY for it.

Joe, when you don't know hours on a boat, condition of a boat, time of year sold, etc., it is hard to pass judgement on a resale price. There is a big difference in resale flipping a boat every year compared to every couple of years. Cut Porter some slack.

I traded in my boat for $35k so I got the tax benefit. The boat had 250+ hours, 2 year old boat and was sold at the end of the summer to make room for the new one.

Yes, the 21V is a fine boat, but if it was my choice I would spend the extra couple grand for the primo wake of the 22V. Good luck on the boat search.

Porter- What is the tax benefit of trading in? Ne

In Washington if you trade in your boat, you pay less sales tax on the new boat. It works like this:

(New boat price - trade-in value) x sales tax (8+%) = total tax on new boat

Today that flipsell ad says 27,900. That's a killer deal and would be worth the trip. You can see my ad on boattrader.com for my 2002 21V (same boat but better looking tower) Look in the state of Nevada. I'm asking 36K and am very confident based on response so far I will get close to that. My boat has 104 hours and is in excellent condition, always garaged...

The boat is very solidly built and worth every penny...I'm getting a new one.

Hey Porter, When you traded the 2000 in for the new boat, did Dave give you an actual TRADE of $ 35K of did you have to consign the sale and wait to do the buy-sell for the tax savings? I am thinking about doing the same thing with my 01. Thanks, Will
