I have been wakeboarding for a while now. i have a decent old boat but no pylon or tower to get the rope in the air. how much of a difference in air and hang time would getting a pylon or tower make?

I would agree that would help you get some more height on your jumps......

It does defiantly help, but it won't turn you into a pro overnight.

yea i just think more air will allow me to progess a little better and faster cuz my good old boat doesn't throw the biggest of wakes but it sure gets the job done.

it'll make a difference. Even just thinking about how your in the air where the rope's attached. With it pulling low, when you get in the air, its pulling you in a downward direction. while a tower pulls you upward. Makes a VERY noticeable difference in my book.

Tower will pull you up unless your Randall Harris or Lyman. Then it starts pulling down. Just thought i'd throw that stipulation in there.

imagine Randall Harris or Lyman with one of those extra 5' tower extensions. dear god. i wonder if that'll ever become the normal thing to have?

it will make a huge difference with a pylon or tower, i started riding without a pylon and then finally got one, after progressing even farther a new boat was needed but for now a pylon would make a huge difference
