Sammish to Shasta or bust

Someone had to do it, so I figured it might as well be me.

What are everyones plans for the road trip to Shasta? Jeff and I are getting set to roll Thursday the 3rd in the AM. Scottie, are you rollin with us? Cliff, Gramps, anyone else?

As of yet I'm available to tow for someone if anyone needs it. I may also have some room for gear, just let me know so I can pack accordingly.}

I'm with Scotty for the trip down.I sold the Burban so Phil is going to pull my boat with the Lightning this year. We are heading out Monday at 3am and should be at Shasta by about 1pm. I'm not sure when Sean and Gramps are going down.

Gramps might be heading down to Bend the afternoon of the 3rd. I'll be in Bend late on the 3rd or early on the 4th.

Be in Shasta on the 6th.

For everyone coming to Bend first, we are heading to the lake on the 4th, then back to our house for a BBQ and fireworks stuff. Should be a great start for the trip.....

Oh here we go again…. Just stay up another 2 hours and you can ride a couple sets in the morning before you leave.

OK… I have to agree 3 AM is early. You guys should be rolling in about the same time as the rest of us driving down from Bend.

we will be renting out of Bridge Bay and shooting straight up to your location. I'm thinking we will leave the house boat up there so we are in close proximity to all of you guys. It should be a great place to watch everyone hit the kicker as well.

I spoke with Rick H. today, and he suggests we all head over to the pit arm to do our afternoon riding.

I am riding with Cliff on Saturday and Sunday I was planning on getting some stuff around the yard done before our trip. If it’s sunny I could be convinced to ride. Check with Dave and Lisa… they are going to Samm on Saturday too. I thought you had family stuff on Saturday??

Yes I am bringing the X2 down, you are welcome to a pull anytime. I am staying in the tent area, space J I think ( I drive a Silver Sequoia-it will be parked there). I will also take a stroll up into your area as well.

Also, I have personally seen the shiny new Pro-V that has been turning heads in Bend. I've only seen it in the budding stages before it's completion, but let me say, it is niiiiiiice.

Hey all, speaking of tent sites, doesn't each trailer site have one tent site as well? I may be wrong, but if that is true I also have one up for grabs if someone needs it.

Does anyone want to try to plan a "Meet and greet" for one of the nights. It would be cool to get everyone together to put some faces to the names. It might be a little easier to plan it while we are all still near the computer. Just a thought.

3 days and a wake up, can't wait.

Hey does any one want to do list of cell ph numbers we can email and print to take with us?

Also does anyone else have the FRS 2 way radios? Should we set channel for this event and use our screen names for identification?

Yeah our group is using 2 way radios. They work great for road trips.

I think the designated group radio frequency is Channel 10 Code 0.

10-0 is if you have the GMRS radios, which are on a different frequency. If you have FRS, we'll be monitoring 7-27 as well.

I can't wait to get up there. This is going to be the longest week ever...

Bend is fairly well booked. That Comfort Inn does not have there computer based booking up and running yet. So, I don't think a lot of 'e-travelers' know of it yet.
