Ok my question is prolly dumb but if you look on the rud of a Nautique it looks like it has a mineature ruddder that is slightly offset from the big one. It has little ridges and my guess is that it would help compensate for the natural turn of the prop while going straight so it doesn't vere off path due to the natural rotation of the prop. anyone know exactly?

are you talking about the little black piece on the upper-rear part of the rudder? If that's what you're talking about, it's an adjustable piece. You can adjust it to make your boat track to your liking when you let go of the wheel.

I heard that skiers liked their boats to pull to one side or the other. The reason behind that is so the boat wouldn't wander at all when they were driving through a course. It would make the steering very tight. I also heard that CC used to make their rudders beveled on one side and sharp on the other to help compensate for the driver's weight.

True...Some boat companies move the rudder over a bit to compensate for prop rotation some use the little adjustable thing like CC and some move the center fins around to adjust tracking. Moving the rudder placement can hamper steering ease to one side and changing fin alignment can do the same. The adjustable CC thing seems like a good compromise.
