The suction cup side to raw water intake. Brass fitting for watter hose. handle rest against the concrete. They sell the same thing in the overtons catalog for $41.99

Just make sure when you push the suction on that the metal doesn't scratch your fiberglass.

I have not had any problems with mine. It does not have to be very tight.

Below is a pic of what I use, a dealer mechanic gave me the idea. Much easier than a fake-a-lake because you don't have to crawl under the boat and position between trailer axle, bunks, etc when the ground is wet. Aaron, did you just cut a small hole in the rubber part of the plunger and stick the hose fitting through and tighten with the clamp?

Yes that is it. Make a small hole so it has a good seal. I just made a new one today. My old one was a little dry rotted.

They aren't that expensive. Doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort to make one.

Buy a plunger and make a hole and install fitting = $5.00 not that much effort!
Buy one already made $41.00

I used to hook my hose up to my showers cold water side. Much easier than crawling under the boat.

Brad it is for supplying water to your boat so that you can start it on dry land if working on it. You hook up a hose and shazaam... water to your engine

I use to run the engine before an oil change, test everything in the spring before first trip to the lake, and anyother time I want to start the boat at home.

It is nice to have that sort of thing. My first boat had a pretty unreliable Evinrude outboard on it. Ever since then, I ALWAYS do a driveway test before I get to the lake so I don't spend 30 minutes driving just to find out my boat won't start for some reason.

I just pull my raw water hose off my V drive and poke the end of the hose in it. Costs nothing to unscrew a jubilee clip and takes less than 30secs.

I flush after every launch and reckon its much better than sliding under the trailer.

I'm more frugal with my time than my money...and I don't have a lot of either!

It took me all of 20 minutes, including time spent walking to Ace, (which is really close to me) to make mine. I make $18 an hour and am a student so I think not paying the $41 bucks was worth it to me.

Plus, it did feel great to see my boat running on land because of something I made.

20 minutes and $7.00 and I was good to go or pay 41.99 and wait for it to ship. I would rather have mine NOW for the $7.00 and 20 minutes of time. Take the $35.00 saved and put it in the gas tank or buy more beer!
