We have a newish wakesetter maybe a 2010 version with ballast tanks. Yet when we choose the preloaded option of Surf Left or Surf right the wave isnt that great. It is extremely hard to ride without the rope and water sacks may be the way to go but we need a bigger wake. DOes anyone have a similar boat and have an awesome surfing wake with additional sacks? If so could you please let me know what you use to get a steeper cleaner wave?

You need to buy a MB. You can load 2000 lbs of ballast in under 90 seconds, plus they don't have all those fancy touch screens that always break.

Buying a new boat does not seem to be the most economical solution to this problem anyone have other ideas... Or do anything in particular with their wake setter 23 lev

Go to or call wake makers.com. They have plug and play ballast systems for your boat.

The 23 LSV throws awesome wave with weight. Do you have the PnP on the boat? If you do, get a 1100lbs sacks in the surfside locker.

I surf behind my buddy's 23 LSV quite a bit and he filled up the MLS full, add 1100lbs on the surf side and another 800lbs on the seats if the boat has only 4-5 passengers.

I had an LSV.. it'll throw a good surf wake, but not stock. You need to put a bunch of extra weight in it to surf.

You'll also need to add about 700-900lbs more to the bow with this set up to lengthen your pocket and firm up the wave. Once you do you'll have an amazing surf wave
