Hey Guys -

I've been tossing around the idea of talking my pops into selling me his 1999 xstar and wondering what your thoughts are on a ballpark of its value. It has about 650 hours on it, but the Corvette LT1 was new at 250hrs. It's in medium condition as far as nicks/scratches and so forth go. A 4 bag/4 pump auto ballast was put in, but that's pretty much it for any additions to it.

Any ballpark thoughts? This would come with a single axle trailer.

I would say 20-23 in this economy.

I might even go lower then 20-23. I would say in the winter a 99 XStar would be worth about 19-21

Jeffrey, I am going to try and help you out here. With economy, the boat not being perfect, not that many options and a new motor(must of been misuse;) I would think it should be priced right around 12k.

I would say high teens, low 20's depending on condition

haha, thanks Brett, I'll let him know that price :-) Yeah, he bought the boat at 250 hrs with a new engine b/c the previous owner didn't winterize properly.

Thanks guys, that's about what I was going to guess.

yeah i am also thinking 23 might be high considering the time of year and the economy..... but as my dad always said there is an "ass for every seat"
Great boat and good luck!

The bigger question is do you want to sell it or hold on to it. I have been looking for 96 to 01 SAN for the past six months in the Seattle area and everyone who has one for sale just bought it within the last two years and paid top dollar, so they want top dollar. If you want to sell it during these times, you need to price it to sell. My buddy sold his 2000 Maristar with every bell and whistle known to man kind, for 23 in Sept. There are buyers out there, they are just being smart with their money.
