Wanted: POS pontoon boat for fun box

Looking for a beat up old pontoon boat. Winter project is to convert it into a fun box. Should have started earlier in the season, looking for one. Anyways, I'm in the metro Detroit area. Willing to travel if the pontoon is for the right price. Want to do this in the winter with all of the down time. Need to be ready for next summers tournament. Thanks in advance.

Doug, good luck, people always say you can get one for a couple hundred. I've been searching for 2 years watching ebay, boat trader, local dealers and while driving around. The lowest price I've seen on bare pontoons is $1500. With a trailer they are often $2500 minimum even if totally trashed. The aluminum is worth close to $1000 if scrapped.

There is one washed up on the shore of Okanagan lake just down from my house. Maybe next summer I will go grab it.

HEY EVERYONE! CHECK IT OUT! I don't know if it is luck or what?! Looked around for salvaged pontoon boats, and I came across the perfect situation. The place is called 2nd Chance Pontoons. They find old pontoon boats and repair and flip them. It just happens that they had one that was only the tubes, chassis, and deck. The tubes were leak tested and repaired. Thge price.....$300. 24' long, 8' wide. WHAT A FIND. Here are some pics:

Alex, the place is called 2nd Chance Pontoons. It's just west of Northville, off of 5 Mi Rd. Are you a metro Detroiter, or do you live up in Louiston all year. My family used to have a place up there with access to East Twin Lake. PM me for more info.
