My father in law saw my setup this weekend and asked me if companies were still strict on using matching bindings and boards. I am riding Obrien bindings on a CWB board. Does that void the warranty on either? I would think not, but I don't know.

KIA cars have a great warranty too, but that doesn't mean I would be caught dead driving one.

I know that it does void it on CWB and more then one other company but how are they going to know what bindings were on it.

The safest way is to make sure by calling your dealer or the manufacturer.

Tickle - Really?? I had Hyperlite replace a 6 year old board with a brand new pro model because the inserts ripped out. Their customer service is awesome in my experiences.

I ripped the inserts out of a hyperlite roam and the shop told me they would not warranty it because it was more than a year old.

Tickle,

This is Corey from customer service at Hyperlite, I am not sure who or why the board was denied for warranty, but it shouldn't have been denied for LF bindings. You should call me up and I will take care of you. 800-938-4646. Thanks.

BTW, I cant warranty the roam I don't think. Roam warranty is one year. So i can only warranty 07 and 08 roams right now. Sorry about that.

I can tell you that most boards warranty are void if you don't have their bindings on them. I know this for a fact, But like I said how are they gonna know. It's just what it states in their papers. That's what the question was and I have been told that is the answer.

CWB warr rocks! never had a problem.. As for LF their warr is great, I use it every year.. almost never made it a whole season with their bindings?
Stupid, I guess I keep buying them?

WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA...

Let me clear something up... I was evidently typing faster than I was thinking.... I had a LF board denied due to using Hyperlite bindings... I asked how they knew.... I was riding the Byerly bindings w/ the claw set-up.... My mistake....

Corey, thanks for chiming in.... I cannot complain about Hyperlite at all.. For the most part a life-time warr... LF on the other hand seems to be a year only...I like their bindings better, but they do not last like some others.....

Josh
