Gday all,

Have recently imported a 2005 Sanger V230 to aus and thought id put it out their and ask anyone else that has one how they have loaded it to maximise the wake on it?

It only has the 500lbs of ballast in the nose so i just have to rearrange the sac placements around the boat to suit.

So any info would be great.
Cheers

500 mid-ship, 300 bow, 600 in the rear. That's all the wake I need

Depends on the speed you ride at. V drive Sangers like weight in the nose usually at around a 60/40 ratio front to rear. This is of coarse a ballpark statement. The V230 is going to need at least a 2k in ballast if you're riding at or around 23mph. 2500 to 3k would be optimum. All this is dependant on your skill level as well. This would not apply to beginners, but more to intermediate to advanced riders.

Mitch, fully loaded we run stock triple ballast (500 locker, 500 rear), another 500 in the walkway starting at drivers feet, 400 lead under rear seat and 500 more in rear lockers. Makes a nice wake. I find that the 230 likes a little more rear weight than the other sangers. Then again it is all preference too.

Good Luck!

^^^ Nah, too wide for my liking. Cant ride as far back. Fuel consumption is a major difference too. Its personal preference tho.

Doug if you have an action pic of your wake id love to see it.

Also did you guys change your prop to a 4 blade becasue of the weight you a pushing i only have the 330hp black scorpian motor in it also.

No need for four blade these days. Either Acme 653 or 911 will be all the prop upgrade you'll need.

If you're running 2k+ in just ballast plus gear and people on a regular basis I would say go with the 911.
