Have a new malibu with black and white gel coat......Back on the transome a wake board nicked the black gel coat.....It didnt do any dammage except for a little white nick....Seems like the board rubbed some plastic off onto the gel coat.....What could i use to rub it out.....light rubbing compound ?????

Unfortunately, that area of the boat is prone to wakeboard nicks. I would recommend buying some gator grip or adhesive traction to place there to keep the back of the boat from constantly getting nicked.

yea thats what i am thinking......Its not like the board scrapped the gel coat....the board left some sort of rub on the boat.....is there anything to use to get it off or will rubbing compound be bad

Use some wax and a little elbow grease and it will come out.

Malibu sells a transom gaurd for your boat. It straps on the back and protects the transom from those little nicks and bumps. Call Bakes and ask Matt about them.
