Looking to maybe make the move in the next year or so and I'm trying to find out what the wakeboarding scene is like. I'm hoping to end up living somewhere in-between Colorado Springs and Denver. So like: how far to the local water-what kind of season and water temps? Thanks much!

I do IC design/layout in case anybody else is in the business and has the hook-ups. ;)

Season is may thru end of sept for the most part. Water temps start at 51 deg may-end of june then hit mid 70s mid summer. Then drop back down to abut 60 or so in the fall. Public lakes are extremely crowded and there are no huge bodies of water. Between co springs and Denver there are a variety of lakes to choose from. I would suggest looking at our state parks website for all the info as I know very little about them. There are a few private ski lakes in Co, but am not too sure about all of them. They are expensive given the short season we have. I know there are at least 5 private lakes north of denver, but you will be looking at an 1.5 hour drive min to get to them if you are looking to live so far south. The "scene" is varried depending on where you ride. Where we ride "standley lake" it is very laid back and fun fun fun. I am not familiar with the other lake scenes because we only go to Standley. It is a private lake up north.
