I have been riding the Transcend Platinum since about this time last year. I love the board and plan on sticking with it. I broke 2 boards last year and have broken 2 already this year. Amanda at CWB suggested that I might try the foam core board as it is a little more durable for a big guy like me (235 lbs). Does it ride different or would you notice a difference in the board at all? Am I sacrificing anything by down grading besides $100?

sry topic should say foam core

It's going to be a little less snappy and you might notice the slight weight difference. It will be a ton more durable. I know Zane prefers the foam core of his Absolute. I went from Platinum to foam when I switched from the Absolute to the Faction, I don't notice the weight and am just fine on the foam version.

I rode the foam core all last year and am on the platinum this year. I honestly can't really tell a major difference. The platinum is maybe a little more poppy but I can't really tell all that much of a difference. If I hadn't been given the platinum to ride this year, I'd of stuck with the foam.
