Anyone have any experience on these boats? We were out this weekend and a guy had one and said he was riding at 110-120, that was the sweet spot. I've never hurd of anyone riding longer than 90, and thats the Vandall's, Lyman's of the world.

The rope did look long, but not 110 IMO. Anyone?

I'm calling BS on this one I dont think on any boat you could ride that long you would have to ride at like 35mph

Haven't come across anything that long in my experiences.

I have seen interviews where the Vandall says he rides at 98.5 at around 29. This was back when we was riding behind a SANTE 210. More recently, I have seen him say that he is riding line lengths around 90 feet.

Yea I call shenanigans on this too!

I rode a 150ft line once for 10min. You couldn't do anything behind the boat, but it was fun to try and fart around on the water at that length. Did you know that at 150ft behind a SANTE, there are 4 wakes!

what's the longest length that anyone has gone wake to wake? There has to be a limit. Anyone gone W2W at over 100'?

Well to address the Session boat question, I have a pretty decent amount of experience with these boats. What do you want to know.

I can tell you for sure, that 80' and 24 mph produced a pretty sweet wake, and I'm fairly confident that 110 is NOT the sweet spot. But if it makes someone cooler to tell ya that, then whatever!

Thanks Polkaking. Rope length to me is usually determined by ability, speed, beam width, and ballast. Didnt think 110 sounded reasonable. Boat did look nice though, loved the rear-facing seats.

The only time I heard of anyone riding at that length was a dude I know who rode at around 80 and was all excited about it and exaggerating to other people about riding at like 100 ft..... unnecessary

What a peculiar thing to brag about. I'd like to see someone try a raley that far back. They'd hit the wake at about 60mph. No chance.

I did about 70 or 75 ft behind an 18 ft boston whaler with a small ski pole and still managed to jump both wakes both directions... BARELY. had to totally push myself. i think everyone should try forcing themselves to jump the wake further back, i thought it really helped my edges and confidence too... IMO

but maybe this sort of "experimental training" doesn't translate over to real wake boats as well as li'l 18 ft outboard boats?

Total BS. I probably am the only guy on WW that still has one if someone wants to try.

Like Polka said, these throw a nice wake. needs the biggest motor you can get, and a new prop. Anything close to factory ballast and it is difficult to plain with the stock prop. I do not believe they are still making boats. They split from Regal and then stayed around about a year and half. I'd love to know if someone knows diffrent.

I've been shelved for a long time, but I was using 2K at 75 and the wake was sweet for my intermedate level. I've been told 3k makes it pretty insane, and will hang with most wake boats. I never got around to trying due to injuries and an f'd up life.

Jason, I still owe you a ride. I promised you one two years ago when I met you out with Jrod in the old x2.

I should just start hitting you guys up. It's sad to see it sit in garage. Maybe seeing you high end guys ride would inspire me to try rehabbing my foot again and getting back on a board, instead of just driving.
