07 F250 - Tires???

07 F250 4x4 King Ranch Diesel.

Time to replace factory tires and wanted some feedback. The King Ranch has 20" rims from factory and I do not want to lift. I would like to go bigger but I think the largest I can go (without mods) is 305/55/20. I have been told that the following are good options:

Nitto Terra Grapler
Cooper Zeon LTZ

I am replacing the stock tires (Wrangler ATS - 275/65R20). Not in need of aggressive tread.

Any feedback on the above or suggestions for others?

I have the Nitto's on my truck and love them. The ride is nice and smooth and they look great.

Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ. Check them out great tire. They look better then anything else in an AT and also have the best traction I've experienced.

Nitto's are the only way to go on that truck, you'll love them. Those are the only tires that I have seen stand up to regular abuse without failing (that's with proper maintenance).

The 305's should fit fine with no mods. 315's would probably require a small lift.

A big thanks for all the input. Just curious if most of you stayed with stock size or if you went up in size (without a mod). I figure that if I am going to spend $700-$1200 bucks then I would like her to look a little different. Also, my tire guy told me that it should not have a noticable impact on MPG (diesel can turn them easy).

Nitto TGs here on my Duramax and love them so far! I went up to 295/70/17s and it hasn't hurt the MPGs at all really. Only mods I have is 4" cat-back exhaust and a modded stock air box.

Check and make sure that whatever you buy is load rated for a 3/4 ton. I'm not sure that the Nitto's are. I had them on my last truck. They were great tires. Good in snow/rain and decent looking.

nittos are 10 ply load range E I believe. I have some mud grapplers and love em. Just remember to keep them rotated

The load range you need really depends on how much and how heavy of towing you do. The Nitto Terra Grapplers are all D or E rated which is fine for a 3/4 ton truck towing a wakeboard boat.

I was wondering the same thing
I have the 2006 King Ranch

by the way......what hitch do you use

I was using the 4" drop that I needed for my Dodge, but is wasn't allowing the trailer to be level

I just switched to a straight (no drop) hitch, and am pretty convinced that it is as level as it's gunna get

do any of you guys with a stock F250 4x4 setup use a straight or a 1" drop

CIE...the Nitto's I priced are E (the stock OEM's are R).

BB12...I tow a MC X1 (2007) on a regular basis. On occassions, I will tow a JD Tractor with front end loader and rear grader box but that is once a year for maybe 100 miles.

Cliff...straight hitch with no drop and everything I have is stock. Boat sits pretty close to level.

Bob, the E rated Nitto's will be fine. Just remember to rotate them regularly.

Cooper is a high quality tire, they also manufacture the Mickey Thompsons and another brand that is escaping me right now.

I have the BFG's AT TA's and am very happy with them. They took a few hundred to smooth out and get nice and grippy, but they are high quality and do nicely in all applications.

Pro Comp tires, that's it!! Cooper makes them too, and I think they are all USA made.

I might have gone cooper or Pro Comp but I am happy with my bfg's.
