I am new to this site but have read many threds and it seems a lot of people here can land some pretty advanced tricks. I was curious if you attended camps or school to progress to that point or did you just learn on the fly? I have "The Book" but is that enough? I know a school helps but at a hefty price and I read somewhere Murray learned everything on his own. So is that the majority? ANy advice to prgress quicker? Thanks guys. Peace.

The book is a good start. If you want to progress fast without instruction, then you better ride EVERYDAY with a bunch of good riders. Actually, that is how Murray did it. If you don't have the means to do it, the guys who made "the book" can really help you out. I just got back from two days at the wakeboard camp in clermont. In two days of riding with those guys I learn as much as I do in a year on my boat with average riders.

Thats the problem. Maybe I should start a thread looking for riders on the Chain of Lakes in IL. I try to get out as much as I can but I ride with waterskiers so they offer zero advice. So Chase, the benefis of a school are definitely worth the cost?????
