boards with ABS rails or ABS sidewalls. what does ABS stand for? i know its a form of material/composite that makes the rails or sidewalls of the board more durable. but i never knew what it stood for....

Its just a type of plastic. Most household plumbing pipes (sink traps come to mind) are made out of it. Pretty durable stuff, and a really good idea, but its not some magical compound or anything.
