I am wondering if someone has already come up with a name for this trick.. it is a similar motion to doing a scarecrow but instead of keeping the handle at your hip throughout the trick you basically do a raley with a frontside over the head 5.
I start almost doing this by accident when trying to take a few scarecrows deep into the flats and turned them into a raley but keeping a progressive cut i guess. If anyone knows that this trick already exists and I am just being dumb please let me know. Because if not i was to name it lol.. maybe the "Scaley" haha
Nah big worm is more of a whirly motion than a crow 5. I think of it as a toe 180, switch whirly If you stop that vid at 0:42 it doesn't look like he's done a scarecrow, it looks midway through a whirly
What you describe if done properly would be a TS S-Bend. However it could be you are doing a really layed out crow into the flats. A true TS S-Bend off the wake is sweet trick but really tough to do it properly, you would have to take off, and then go the raley position, and then initiate the s-bend, as opposed to rotating immediately off the wake ala a crow.
Get some video, either way it would be cool to see what you're doing.
Thanks for the feedback. i think its just a really laid out crow since i get the board above my head before my chest is to the sky but i definitely still rotate off the wake a little..
mark "turtle" macnamara used to do a proper toe S bend really well, a remember seeing a sequence of that on a wakeboard magazine long long time ago, he was riding a blue super squirt. naiiice
Hey Greg what youre describing is a Hinterberger. More of a cable trick, but I have seen one guy here who throws them behind boat, freakin sick. He goes up full raley position and at the peak does the frontside rotation fully layed out, then lands.
CIE Allen does them. Scarecrow way out the back with the handle extended straight out. If I took a picture you would think it was an SBend, He also pulls them back to Elephant, which looks extra dirty.
Sorry.. On Diegos vid... 3:43 there is a Hinterberger, Sbends and a Double Hinterberger and a double s to blind and a double Hinterberger to fakie!! :O

C5 = the laid out crow/toeside s-bend people are talking about.
C7 = the equvilent of above but to blind (720 rotation)
I have only ever heard the 9 variation described as a toeside double s-bend
most people just describe the tricks as toeside s-bends though
Cisco thats either a 90210-7 if you would let him call it a raley trick if not then its a half load or ofaxis 720 depends on how you want to look at it. (tom fooshee)
.... this thread has really shed light on how stupid wakeboard trick names are.
... without seeing the OP's trick I would say you're doing a really laid out crow.... I use to do them this way, mine were a hybrid ole'/laid out version but it became too hard to take it to a crow mobe for me so I had to re-learn it.
... but unless you raley first, I don't think its anything new.
Not sure what the OP has envisioned but I recall the sequence of Mark McNamara that was previously mentioned and it was certainly not an out the back Scarecrow. As a regular foot rider this is what he did. He came in on a very strong TS edge and after leaving the wake he would quickly do a FS 180 as he extended his arms and got his head between his arms, once extended(& essentially in a switch raley position) he would look over his left shoulder much like a traditional S-Bend, the primary difference was that he looked over his left shoulder instead of his right. He would rotate a full overhead 360 with both hands above his head and land right foot forward.
It was an awesome sequence and I will see if I can find it in an old mag.
