CWB heel lock hinge

saw a pair of photos in the 2009 surf expo gallery that dave put up recently that shows how the new hinge works. quite a simple thing now that i see its guts. in the end it looks like it kinda functions like the older system(s) just more internally/ hidden

i pasted the photos together for easy examination
thought there ought to be several others curious too

no wonder why they're so much lighter too!! Cant wait for them to come out! Still dont know if i want the AA's or the Marius boot :-(

The new Factions are DOPE!! I've been riding them for the last few weeks. My foam core Transcend with 2010 Factions is lighter than a Transcend Platinum with the older boots. I don't know how they made them so light, but my board is like a feather. I'm loving it. I can only imagine what a DB9 with the new bindings will be like.

I hope they have better hold down than the 08 and 09 CWB boots. I have a pair of 07 Factions and feel so locked in with those. Have tried 08's and 09's and they don't hold down my heel like the 07's. 07 was the last year before they switched the way the hinge closed. I'm guessing that's why? The footbeds on the 08 and 09 seemed to have so much more cushion and arch support than my 07's though.

Evan, The DB9 is incredibly light and with the new CWB bindings it feels like nothing. I'm not usually very impressed with CWB boards but that one is sick.

I rode the db9 with the new factions. Huge smile on my face the entire time.
