I'm looking at possibly moving back into the Ft Worth area. Looking to see any good places to live and ride. Saw the Dallas thread but Im looking more in Ft Worth. Are there still places to live on the water in the area? Would be working just inside the north loop or downtown. Would like a place with some room. CA living is tight, I need some space! Anything would help. Thanks guys.

NICE! Thanks Hunter. I was looking at that lake and the Haslet area. It looks like an open lake though. Is it ok with the wind?

It is a big wide open lake, but there are some pretty good wind breaks, you just have to look for them. If you could, you could probably take a tour of the lake with a realtor who has a lot of knowledge of the lake and where some pretty good spots are

I live in Haslet and boat on Eagle Mountain. I like both. Haslet Houses are reasonable $$ and Eagle mountain is fairly deep on the south side. (I don't like shallow water). Biggest pain is putting the boat in at Eagle, No free ramps on the east side that I know of and the free ramp on the west side is junk (I heard). Best bet if you don't live on the lake is buy a yearly pass. And usually early mornings and weekdays are the best time to ride. Weekends starting about 10 am the tubers are out and causing a lot of trouble. PM me if you want a ride out on the lake. There are several houses for sale on the lake but I can't afford any!
You can also check out Lake Worth. But it is only about 10-15 ft deep and the water is not as clear. A buddy of mine boats there. Again there are some houses for sale and reasonalble but to far for me to drive to work and I don't like shallow water.

Tate - If you're into cable, then you will have an awesome brand new cable park to shred nearby. www.wakesportranch.com

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll definitely hit you all up if I move out. If I do move there will be a Sanger V-215 new to the area.

Welcome to North Texas Tate.. Actually Eagle Mountain is probably the worst lake for finding butta.. Great Party Lake but plenty of chop and limited lines.. Lake Worth has a few great lines and usally vacant.. Theres that place out west but even thats getting buzzzy.. Good Luck on your move..
