Anyone have any tips for touching up spots with paint on a trailer. It's a black Boatmate needs a little work. Can I sand down spots and paint?

I got sick of fixing chips on my Extreme Trailer, the paint that Extreme Trailers uses sucks. I went to the Autobody supply and asked for a bed liner that had UV protection built in and they sold me a Liner called HIPPO LINER... I Sanded it down where the rock chips were and Sprayed it on.

As with all painting the more prep you put in the better the finish.

Just re done my trailer and spent a whole day stripping, scraping, sanding and wire brushing the dodgy bits then throughly cleaned it and spent another day applying painting it.

If you compare it with my neighbours who spent 5 mins with a wire brush and then slapped the paint on, mine looks like new and should do so for some time.
