How many years did they make the malibu tantrum and how much did it cost. I see them every now and again and i can't imagine ever buying one since the interior is so stripped down. I'm just wondering how much they were because theres no way that they cost as much as a base outback does today.

Maybe they should think about making the tantrum again but at little more outfitted but a cheaper wake boat to compete with the moomba's and such.

I thought that was the purpose of the VRide and IRide Malibus. Aren't they entry level wakeboard boats?

If I am not mistaken the sportster is what the tantrum evolved into. I use to ride behind a sportster and it had a good wake but very tight on space once you had it full of weight. I have also been in two different tantrums but have never ridden behind them they were very stripped down.

Yes the Tauntrum become the Sportster and was only in production from '96-'97. It was designed as a no frills entry level boat.
