Have any of you tried the Acme 1465 prop. Our 2006 210 Sante came with the 645, but up in the mountains it took forever to plane out, so I called Acme and they suggested this prop. Anyway before I order one I was wondering what people here thought about it. Thanks

That's the same prop they recommended for me. I haven't ordered it yet though. I have the same boat as you.

I believe that is the one my buddy got this season. Not sure if I prefer it or the 856. He is on WW so he'll probably chime in at some point. It will definitely be an upgrade from the 645. Much more hole shot. At some point this season we're going to run both the 1456 and the 856 on the same boat(right now we have one 210 with the 1456 and one with the 856) with the same weight set up and do a true head to head comparison.

If I am not mistaken the 856 can't be used on an '06 or newer 210. The rotation is backwards.

ACME 856
13.25 x 15.50VR4B
1.125

RPMS = High
Hole Shot = Great
Top Speed = Poor

I have been told that the 1465 is the 210 equivalent for the 1234 (the 1234 will not fit the 210)

Also check here.

Just make sure you put the correct rotation on the correct boat...Let us know what you end up with!

He doesn't have a 1234, it won't fit on a 210. It is suppose to be the bomb for a 220 or 211 though.

Just curious, but how does altitude affect prop selection? I have always lived east of the plains and altitude is a non-issue.

It effects both HP and Torque curves which effect prop selection...

You generally use more prop with higher altitude...

please do....I'm about to purchase a new prop myself....and need to decide between the 856 or the 1465(right hand equiv)

Ok first thoughts on the 1465 are Amazing.
The hole shot is unreal. Rpms are up a bit, not that much though. Top speed has dropped 3 mph.

6 people on the boat, 210 ballast system full, plus an extra 1200 pounds and it planes so fast and so easy. Wish we would have had this prop all along.

Chris let me answer that tomorrow after a full day on the lake, but guessing it seems about the same as with the 645 on it.

that's awesome to hear...that's a typical load for us too. So...driving it around is still a pleasant experience...doesn't feel like the motor is screaming or whatever...?

also..did you purchase straight from Acme?

I recently got a replacement ACME prop from www.boarditup.com. They were very helpful and even helped me push up the shipping after I already placed the order. They are also much cheaper, they have the 1465 for $369, tacoma propeller has it for $461 and they are cheaper than ACME direct.

Advantage of ACME is that you can exchange your props as long as in perfect shape for just shipping cost. Boarditup charges you $60

I got a 3 blade 911 and it is awesome!

After you purchase a prop from ACME they will allow you to exchange it just for shipping charges for a period of time for forever (I think 30 days) they are very cool about it. They charge the retail price a little more and when I tried to get them to come down they reminded me about their return policy
that is hard to be duplicated.

Ok after a full day on the lake, with 7 people on the boat and factory ballast full. Plus our extra 1200 lbs the boat preforms great.
Engine runs a bit higher RPM's. Tops speed is down 3.4 MPH per PP.
Gas consumption was NO DIFFERENT than with the 645.
This prop seems to be a perfect blend. Great hole shot, and super handling. Bill @ Acme know his stuff.

I have an 05 Sante (210), anyone know which acme prop, I was told the 1235......Has anyone used it on this model and how was it? hope this isn't a hijack

You can't use the 1234/5 on your 210, it's to big and just barely clears the hull. You will have to go with either the 1465 or some other variant.

Thanks for the full description on how this turned out for you Patrick. Do you know if the 1465 works on the older SANs (2000) with the opposite direction rotation? Going to the ACME site now.

Looks like the 1464 is for the RH rotation. May purchase this prop in the off season.

I have an 05 210 TE. Can anyone explain the differences between the 856 and the 1464? Between wakeworld and planetnautique....there are some conflicting reports out there. Some say the 1464 comes with higher rpms....some say the opposite. From what I've gathered...these are the two best props to go with if you're running a lot of weight.

I have this prop and I love it...I didn't see this post earlier. I got the prop in May and I have had great luck with it. Fuel consumption seems to have gone up a little bit. But I have not really calculated how much. It comes out of the hole a lot quicker. I have a 2006 210TE with the wedge tanks, 600 lbs of POP bags and usually run with 5-9 people in the boat. Boat handles it fine it just becomes a challenge to balance all the weight in those narrow beam 210s.

I didn't have to modify the trailer at all. The trailer is a DHM.

fuel consumption got worse?? Wouldn't fuel economy improve since we would be getting on plane faster? Maybe it's the fact that the boat will now run at higher RPM's across the board? I guess it's just like when I moved from a 3:73 rear end to 4:11 on my old 69 Camaro...better holeshot for sure...but damn it sucked the gas!!

I'm running a Dorsey trailer and there is barely any clearance for my current prop, so I'm planning to raise the bunks to make it fit...

gundogg....it certainly does get harder to balance things out when really loaded down. I was hoping that this new prop would make the pull more consistent....which might in return make it easier to keep the wake clean. I'm running 560lbs of pop bags as well....and my crew size is about the same as yours most of the time.

Is it worth moving to the 1464/1465...over the 856?

I have the 341 prop on my boat now, it's a signature series, and I love how long I can go on one tank of gas - ALL DAY! On my buddies '03 210 we can only go for about a half day, but we add about 1200 #'s to his. How bad is this thing going to suck the gas down, anyone know?

I think it is worth it to move from a 645...If there was a fuel consumption change it was small. I was just saying "If there was a change, it appears to have gone down." This is probably due to the fact that where I have been riding lately has been quite a boat ride. For pure riding I absolutely love this prop. So far I haven't felt like I am struggling out of the hole with any amount of weight.

Well the other day we trailer'd to a large lake. Trying to find some clean water took awhile, that was the only time I have noticed that the gas consumption with 1465 was a MAYBE a little more that with the 645. When we are just boarding or surfing, and not looking all over the place for good water, the 1465 actually does better on gas than the 645.

The prop is amazing and it seems no matter how much weight we have on the boat she still handles great. Acme seems to have a winner with this prop.

Oh and we didn't have to make any trailer modifications for the prop, with an Eagle trailer.

thanks for the update, Patrick! question though....when you're cruising at speed to get to the sweet water....are the high rpms annoyingly loud or anything like that...making for an unpleasant boat ride? 90% of my boat hours are heavily weighted riding, but we do cruise from time to time when I don't have my hardcore riding buddies with me.

It turns out that I might not have to modify my trailer....however...I wasn't able to get my old prop off with the harmonic prop remover. arrggh! I guess I need to take it to a prop shop so they can apply some heat to it to get it off...

Not really a problem with the noise level. RPM's are up a touch, but instead of cruising at 35 go 30. There truly is not much of a difference.

Just guessing here, but I'd bet this prop becomes standard from the factory in the next year or two.

I have 856 and it pushes 2000lbs and people better than the stock prop with an empty boat...

except our top speed is around 32 mph

After two weeks of using 1465 I can say this, with the boat full loaded with stock ballast and eight people with an average weight of about 190#'s each the new prop is awesome!! At first I thought fuel consumption was up and was little worried about it. My old ACME 341 prop would have barely been able to get us on plane with this load if at all. Usually the rider would have to jump out of the water and just ride behind the boat for about 20 seconds before the boat would make speed. With the new prop the boat just pops the rider out of the water and is on plane instantly. As a result you never need to go to full throttle, never. After using the prop for the second week with stock ballast and five people with an average weight of around 160#'s the boat still had about a 1/4 tank gas after pulling for 9 hours! In my opinion this is the greatest prop EVER!! The thing pulls like Clydesdale and runs out like feral stallion! Perfect Pass works a lot better too, and holds speed within .2 MPH!!

If anyone has any questions let me know I will try to get them answered!

BTW, I think the 1465 could probably push the same or greater load than the 856, probably more efficiently too. My buddy has the 856 and it burns gas like a Tiger tank on Blitzkrieg!!

I had exactly the same experience as Bocephus. The only drawback is cruising speed is down about 5mph..rpms are a bit higher...but who cares. It gets on plane instantly...no matter how much weight we're running. Perfect pass works better...definitely a more consistent pull..awesome!

My RPM's at 23 MPH went up by 400 RPM, 3,000 to 3,400. At the start of the pull I am topping out at at about 4,000 where I would hit about 4,900 with the 381. I have no idea what I lost on the top end since I don't really use the top end.
