I have a clairion XMD4 head unit in my rig, I am adding three amps, one for sub, deck and tower.

What is the best way to split the audio out of the head unit?

Will the H/U's preamps need to be amplified?
Could I just run one of the amps out of the others preamp outputs?

thanks for any help.

if you dont have enough pre outs in your H/U then get a Y spliter, or else you could daisy chain the amps

as i understand it the preamps of the HU are enough to drive the amps, HU already has 3 sets? FR,Rear, Sub, correct? if it does only have one set of preamps for spks then u will need a RCA splitter cable for each channel and split to the amps. my .02
