Hi. The jetboat took a huge wave over the bow and seawater got into my electrics under the helm. Poor design boat design but i wont go on about that.

I managed to get the boat started last night, me and my buddy used wd-40 on all the connections unplugged them - plugged them back in. Just putzing around neither of us a clue. My problem is, its flakey. I plug in the DESS and sometimes it makes a long whisling sound and won't start. If I just leave it on eventually I'll get the :+: chirp chirp :+: and the motor will fire.

Anyone here seen anything like it? I plan to just unplug everything and see if it dries out.

We had a Jet Ski do that. Make sure you get it dried out ASAP because we ended up having to change out all of the electronics on it because the water in them ruined it. big $$$. We didn't realize that there was even water in it until it was too late.

The boat left me stranded b/c of it. I reckon the best thing I'll just see if it dries.

FYI - to any sea doo jet boat owners - there is no seal whatsoever on your electrics. A few waves over teh bow is going to end your day. It looks like its sealed, but it aint.

my electronics are under the cooler behind the gauges, and right behind the engines.
