I am in the market for a new digital camera. I currently have a Kodak DX6490 and would like to upgrade to something better. Cameras with more Megapix, larger zoom, and are able to take a series of quick shots for a sequence picture. I would like spend no more than $1000.00 for the camera. Thanks in advance for any help.

If your looking for an "all in one" type camera. I would check out the Canon S3is. I had the S1is and I loved it. You can use manual, shutter priority, aperture priority...ect. Great zoom and relatively small size. I also loved the tilt viewfinder.

Here's a couple pics I took with the S1is.
