haven't got one in my area yet to check one out. Anyone out there with some experience with the new X2?

the boat is one of the biggest 20 footers i have been in. The bow is kinda short but very wide and comfortable fits 2 people. The cockpit area is very roomy with more room than a X-1 and less room than a X-Star.

There is also plenty of storage in the rear compartments and under the passenger seats.

The biggest thing that really stood out when compared to the X-1(Old X-2) is how well the boat drives. It is very responsive and sturdy and handles like a direct drive ski boat.

For wake characteristics with the stock ballast it is a little wider than the X-1, more rampier, but a very similar defined lip at the top. Comparing wake size w/ stock weight i would say the X-2 and X-1 are just about equal.
