I know the NVS guys spray the paper Eminence cones with something to help waterproof them. Any idea what is used or what can be used?

I'd try some of the spray used to waterproof tents and canvas.

I used that, think it was fabsil on my 15" paper sub.

scotch guard has been known to work well. just keep in mind anything you spray will change the acoustic properties of the speaker because you are adding mass, so try not to overdo it if you are concerned about that.
