Any input on camping along the river? I was reading that you can get permits to camp at the Gilette Castle that is right on the river. What's the river like? Thanks

Bro, I had no idea that there was anyone else on here from CT. I just moved to orlando from CT a year ago. Heres what you gotta do. Launch out of the Wethersfield Cove, and head towards Rocky hill. There are a few spots where you can just pull the boat in and camp right on the beach, we used to do it all the time. The best water you will ever ride, pretty much 24/7. Plus it is free. If you need any info at all about the CT River email me. I spent about 3 days a week every summer out there since I was born. If you want to hook up and ride with some people my brother and parents and some friends still ride out there all the time, at least until the water hits 40 degrees. haha. They have an X-STar and are always looking for people to ride with. Email me if you want
