I know this is mentioned in passing daily among the So-Cal circles...but has anyone looked into the possibilities? Granted it would be balls expensive, but can you imagine the potential business? Tons of people + no lakes = need for alternatives.
I have heard of cornering off part of lower Castaic, also doing it out in Palmdale area..

Any thoughts??

I think that the red tape and regulations would slow this project down for quite a while. For instance it would probably need to be considered a fish farm to get water rights, etc... I think it would help the sport grow tremendously as the largest object to entry in wakeboarding is the cost of a boat. I think it would take someone with a LOT of money and some determination to build it. I'd love to see it happen and would be willing to work with anyone who is honestly interested. If i win the lottery maybe were in business. Maybe we just need to start the So cal Cable Park Corporationa and sell shares.

I would love to see one in Orange County - an hour drive from San Diego and LA. But I agree that it will be a difficult job to get one built and of course, very expensive! But where there is a market someone will find a way.

a while back there was some 16 year old kid saying that he was going to make a California Ski Ranch, being around the same age I have no idea on how the hell he would be able to do this unless his dad is Bill Gates
