Can I just use a car oil filter on my inboard engine? My Mercruiser MPI 350 seems to have the same size oil filter as my old Chevy 350 truck. If so, anyone know a part number?

Thanks

I do that with mine. I think that it references to the same year Chevy/GMC motor/truck.

Go to Napa, they'll set you up. I don't have the part number handy, but they have 'em. If you have the room, you can also do a larger volume filter too.

I used a AC delco filter on mine with no problems.

Think I referenced a 1997 chevy 1500 350 truck for the part no.
