hey guys. well im in the market again. This time for a 215. If you or anyone you know is selling one let me know! Trying to find one under 30k with under 200 hrs. Hopefully I can sell my 210 soon so I can get into a 215 before summer! I got some time but want to get my feelers out! Thanks!

I picked up a v215 late in the season.
Only had it out about 5 times, but its an awesome boat!
05 has about 170 hrs on it now

One thing I wont do is blue, green or flames! If I found a white or red one with flames I would survive but probaly have to get it wrapped! I know there out there! Once I get my 210 sold I can really get aggressive with looking but I found my 210 on this site and it has been a perfect first boat for me. But time to move on

Ya the flame thing is kind of a bummer. Mine is white with the silver flames. Not real noticeable.
Ill have it wrapped in the spring. But for the price I paid, I was not going to pass over something that can be wrapped for 1200 bucks!

Well still looking for a 215. Been lowballed like crazy on my 210. Kinda thinking of taking one of the offers. Lose a couple grand to save a couple grand on my next boat is what I'm thinking. What do you guys think. Wait till spring and maybe get another 1500-2000 outta it. Or let it go now.

Curious to know what you have liked and disliked with your boat. I have been intently watching your craigslist ad over the last two months to see if your price drops at all. I'm very interested in a V210 model years 2002-2005 and what I would expect to pay for one around this time of year. I would be using the boat as a crossover (65/35 ski/wakeboard) but a dd is tough to swallow when my wife insists on a vdrive.

Danny, id move the price to 19,900 and call it a day and see what bites. Its the wrong time of the year to be selling a boat.

There was a really nice dark blue 215 that just sold for 22k

I absolutely love my boat. I am by no means an awesome wakeboarder or surfer so the wake is plenty big for me! I can ride all day long on 60 bucks weighted down. It looks badass.
Reasons for selling---Would like to get built in ballast. we tend to take quite a few people out. So filling fat sacs with a bunch of people on the boat is not that sweet. I am the only one of my group of friends with a boat so on average were looking at 8-10 people everytime we go out. Id just like a little more wiggle room and storage. I know im not going to get a huge amount more with the 215 but I think its enough to justify the decision to upgrade.

I have never slalom skied behind it but I see quite a bit of people doing it on the delta.

If your interested give me a call BaadLS. Id be more then glad to let you take a look at it and talk with you about it!

Definately the wrong time to sell a boat! I have someone who offered 19 who wants to come buy this weekend so we will see. Im in no rush to buy a new boat but there is a really really nice one down in san diego ive been eyeballing.

I am actually located in San Diego and I'm not QUITE ready to make a move in the market. I am, however, willing to travel to Norcal for a potential pick up (I know there are significantly more Sangers up there with the Madera Dealership). Glad to see that you thoroughly enjoyed yours. I remember seeing my first one 12 years ago when I tried to convince my dad on a '98 V210. I love how this boat sits on the water and in the trailer, even if I have to sacrifice trips to Lake Powell.

The v210's have a great wake! If you're rolling with 8 peeps I agree they tend to feel small fast

Did you sell with the stereo or with out?if you don't mind how much you get for it and from 1-10 what was the condition?

I have a 215, very clean and well taken care of. Tinted shield and a full wet sounds stereo.
4 rev10's with swivel clamp on the tower, 650's in boat, and all sinister series amps. Also 2 12's.
170hrs.

Let me know!

Chris I got 19 for a 10 year old boat it was in very good condition. I literally took the whole stereo out. It had a CD player and 4 interiors that weren't even installed.

Not sure of your price range but the malibu vlx 2005 and newer is a litter bigger than the 215. If you really want to be a good host for all your friends look for an lsv

I wanna stick to a 21-22 ft boat. I don't wanna break the bank in gas going out all the time. I have been looking at a brand new 12 vride that sporting edge in Antioch has. Over my price range but I'm getting a loan anyways so maybe it could work. The interior on it is bitchin. I've found a couple brand new sangers but for me the new towers don't work out well. There's an 11 larsons I really like but 42 is kinda steep. I'm not in too much of a rush but I got my feelers out. Ideally 25-30 for a used one is what I wanna spend. Maybe 35 if it has low low hrs. I have my whole system outta my 210 so I can careless about that. Ballast and perfect pass is all I really need.

How about a brand new 13 a22. There's quite a few at dealers in cali wondering if I could get one of those cheap.

There's a shop in Ventura advertising that there selling 13s for below cost plus rebates. I called them waiting or a call back. If I could get an axis for 45 I'd have to go for it

Pretty basic for the most part. No trick trailer or wetsound system. Had perfect pass and ballast. Supposingly it below dealer cost.

That's probably about right on an a22 in terms of dealer cost.

I'm not fully versed in Sangers, but I just saw this on CL today: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/4262909397.html

Looks like a pretty nice boat. Other than the fact the tower speakers are mounted the wrong way!!

I agree. He says he is "testing the waters" after having it up for the past 3 weeks or so. He was "firm" at 28k and now the boat is listed at 26k. I'd say offer 24k and get a killer deal on an 05. Not sure what condition the boat is in.

way too many hrs for me! Id like to find one with under 200. That things got a weird looking tower as well! Theres in 05 in willow glen for 29k but im not digging the colors. Larson marine has a 2011 with 60 hrs for 42. not sure how firm that price is but the thing is basically brand new!

An 08 for 40. Has an awesome color combo. Loaded. Has 144hrs. What do you guys think. Keep in mind ill probaly have to ship it here. And fly out to check it out. So 40+1500 for flight and shipping

Danny- I would not pay more than 30-32k for a Sanger 215. They have essentially not changed them since 05 and really the only thing that 08 is buying you is graphics.

If I was spending 40k on a boat id take a hard look at a VLX or X-Star. This one below sold for under 40k, its going to be much more plush than a 215.
http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=41280

I was just like you..had a 1999 Sanger V210 loved it but felt it was too small always had 6 or so people on it. I sold it a few years back to buy a home and get married. This year the time came to start looking for a boat again. I've been riding on my friends Nautique 211 and a 22 Axis. I looked at a few 215's and realized how small they are in comparison to Malibu, Nautique and Mastercraft. Then I started opening up my search and started looking for a X-star, VLX and LSV. I settled on the LSV as soon as I hopped inside one and felt how big it's. If you're opposed to the size of a 23 i'd look at its little brother the VLX.

I do agree with you on that and I think he's way high on price. That green 215 I posted a while back was the same exact boat but 10k less. I'm in no rush to buy anyways. I've been in talks with Daniel at boat country about an axis. Just not sure I can pull te trigger or not. That's a lot of loot. I'll keep my eye out for a Malibu. There's a brand new 12 vride at sporting edge I could probaly get a screaming deal on. Id love to find an 06ish x2 with low hrs. I mostly surf and the xstars I've rode arnt that great in that department but I've heard the x2s surf better. Thanks for your input though! Hopefully something perfect will pop up!

With financing rates being better on new vs used, and repair costs being nothing under a 3-5 year warranty, that would make a good case for new.

I don't know a whole lot about Sangers since they're more-or-less non-existent on the east coast, but I would agree with norcalmalibu that in the $40k range you have better options.
Old     (dp513)      Join Date: Jul 2011       01-03-2014, 11:16 AM Reply
Ya te warranty is a cool thing. Also id be getting a good enough deal on a 13 axis to where I wouldn't lose much money in 3 years. I'm just gonna wait it out and see what happens.

I was thinking that as well Chris. My 210 had the 350 in it and I sacked the **** outta it and it still pulled outta the hole well. I was thinking 25-26 range. Is anyone on here located in San Diego and wanna check it out for me?

My friend has the Mag 350 and I have the black scorpion. In my opinion, no noticeable difference in power. I think the rating is something like 315 to 330, but I can tell you that it isn't noticeable, at least not to me.

That 2005 in San Diego is really nice IMO! 110 hours is a new boat in my opinion. You can add PP and board racks - that would probably sum up to 3K by the time you were done. Cant tell if it has any ballast either - that would cost another 1-2K to add.
Old     (dp513)      Join Date: Jul 2011       01-10-2014, 7:47 AM Reply
It needs pp board racks and a wrap cus grey is way too plain for me. So that's like 4gs. So I'd be into about 33gs. That seems steep for an05. Granted it's seriously like brand new but resale value is gonna suck in 3 years. Think I'm gonna pass on it.

Sorry Danny, family emergency this week kept me away. I'd sit tight on the 2005 myself. I haven't looked at it yet, but El Capitan just closed down here due to low water levels and I don't believe it will change for a while, which limits us to Mission Bay or the River. That makes for just about the worse boat selling market we've ever had here in San Diego, even for the Winter months. That boat won't sell unless someone flies for it.
