I'm looking for a good boarding camp for relatively older riders (26+ years old). Does such a camp or school exist? Would prefer something in the eastern part of the country. Post up and recommendations/stories/experience.

I went to The Wakeboard Camp last year in the beginning of May and it was great. There was one swedish kid that was there (12 years old) with no parent. That was it. Everyone else was 27-39. I had a great time there. Looking forward to going back at some point soon.

What would the best west coast option be? I have been thinking about checking out a weekend at milehigh. I'm also in the 26+ club

Yeah, I checked out West Coast Camps. Seems the rest of their sessions are youth. All ages ones are only in May. Anyone been to MileHigh?

The Boarding School...hands down. Spent a week there last year with 3 of my buddies, all 30+. It was awesome! Can't wait to go back!

Thanks for the replies. Next question is for those that have gone to a camp; do you think your progression warranted the $1800+ cost?

Thedude: I went to the wakeboard camp back probably in 2005. There were a few other guys in and around my age. In one way I can't see it always being a young crowd considering the costs to do it as you mention. It's really hard to ride that much unless you are a young buck. From trying back rolls the whole time the lower half of my whole back was one big bruise by the end anyway. All that aside it does go down as something as I will always remember and wish I was able to do it again at some point. For me it was really cool being around a bunch of other people that had the same stoke for riding as I do.

Hey thedude! Check out
I coach there with my husband Cobe Mikacich. We opened this new private site at the beginning of the year in Orlando. Our students learn a ton. Feel free to email if you think it may suit your style

West Coast Camps. They have a proven, low risk system for learning new stuff. It's perfect.

Spent a weekend with The Wakeboard Camp, and can honestly say that it was worth the $$$. I left with so much experience and something like 8 or 9 new tricks, mostly invert variations. Most of the campers that week were in my age group (17) but you'd be fine being older, there's plenty of off site stuff and a bar right across the street.
