Hey guys, I have a been wakeboarding for awhile and I need a need advanced Wakeboard. But I came across a wakeskating video. Should I get into wakeskating or buy a new board since mine is beginner and im above that level. Your opinions will decide my decision. Thanks

Wakeskating is a really fun sport. There is so much you can do with it.
I suggest you pick up a skate and see how you like it. Get a nice wood concave with griptape. A foam top flat deck might give you the false sense of what wakeskating is like.

Getting up and riding is a lot like wakeboarding, and wake to wake feels about the same. The tricks are more like skateboarding though.

But you dont stand on it like a wakeboard. You want your back foot all the way on the tail, like a skateboard. You dont stand centered like a wakeboard.

Check out this video http://thewakeskatemag.com/riff-raff...ckett-session/

Thanks. I can't go wake to wake anyways because we have a pontoon that is to slow and doesn't make a wake at all. I usually jump other peoples wakes. So wakeskating is better for the flats?

Wakeskating is much better in the flats. There are way more tricks you can do.
You have to have a wake to do stuff on a wakeboard. But with wakeskating you can do tons of skateboard tricks in the flat water.

here is a recent edit of Chris shredding on a skate here in Austin...

In the video he's riding an Oak, Remote, and a Virtue 39.5...

you don't need a wake to do tricks wakeboarding, it just makes it easier and wakeskating has a bigger trick bag for in the flats
