Hey, just bought a used pair of 2010 Ronix One Black bindings. Tried them the other night and my set only lasted 10 mins before I had to take them off. My feet were so sore I could barely walk. They've never been molded so should I mold them before I try them again?
I found them hard to get into even with soap.I wear a size 10 shoe so I bought a size 10 binding.... should I go for a larger size? or will molding them say in hot water stretch them a bit?

Help my feet.... please!

which method is better, hair dryer or really hot water in the tub? I was thinking the tub cause then I could use soap if I had to to get them on.

What do you think?

And what's the deal with the sock?

Well man when I was putting the hair dryer inside the boot the thing was getting way to hot to put my bare foot in there so I just put on a sock that went mid way up my calf... Then tightened them pretty tight and stood still for like ten minutes... Or u could just go to a ski shop most of them have a professional heater to mold them.... Either way keep us posted

I wouldn't use soap to put them on. Definitely heat mold them.

Ya but to make my feet hurt to the point of not being able to walk.... well sucks.
I have wide feet and high arches, and I'm hoping that molding them will stretch them a little. Cause when I really like the board control I had with them... could really feel the board.
Wondered if I should go a size up though. What do you guys think? Heat mold or go 1 size bigger?
I won't have time to try it till tomorrow so I'm trying to decide what to do.

I wear a 10-10.5 shoe and rode the Ronix Ones size 11 this past weekend. My old Ronix kais were 10. But i have skinny feet. All my other bindings are 10-11 and still snug. Id say go up a size

Shoe size 11-11.5 here, got 2011 Ronix Ones in a size 11. They were tight at first, but after a few sets they fit perfectly. They never hurt my feet though, I do have narrow feet though. If it hurt so much you couldnt walk, you might need to go a size up.

go true size... dont use a hair dryer go to a snow board shop and use their heater (hair dryer will over heat them.) use a thick sock to give a bit more room while molding them. then ride a few sets. I really did not think mine would loosen up but they did man after bout 3 sets.

Hey all got them molded today..... What a difference. Wore them around my place for like 45 mins, have happy feet. Can't wait to take them to the water.
Thanks all

BTW used the bath tub method worked like a charm.

how did you mold them?
Old    Jamie (Wiatowski)      Join Date: Aug 2011       09-21-2011, 2:42 PM Reply
Put them in a rubbermaid tub and filled it with hot water from the tub (our water gets so hot it steams) left them in there for almost 10 mins.
took them out, drained the water out of them, and put my socked feet into them and cinched them up tight. Stood on one place for about 10 mins, then walked around the house with them for another 30 mins or so.

took them off, took off the socks and put them back on and they fit perfect.

In my opinion, nothing comes close. They are hands down the best boots I have owned. I did heat mold them at a snowboard shop.

Closest spot around me with a heat molder is 40 miles, and they charge $30..... home method proved effective. Will hit the water with them tomorrow and report.

sounds good! I will try it, water temperature is about 130 degrees?

Read on one of the forms that 120-140. I couldn't tell you what the temp was..... other than hot. Will tell you that you have to hold them down in the water.

try not to pull the bottom laces to much when you put them on. My feet hurt really bad when I first rode with my new pair of ones and the ronix rep told me it was because I was pulling the laces to tight. After that i have never had a problem and love my ones.

Just an update. Went for a long set tonight, about 10 mins in they hurt a little nothing like before, kept riding cause .... well I'm a man. By the end of the set they were comfy. I rode for around 2 hrs tonight had 2 - 15 min breaks in the water... Had no one else that want to ride. Water is at 65 and my buddies are chickening out already. Makes me sad to think I might only have a couple of more weeks to go at it.

Anyways all crying aside, I would say that molding them was a definite must for me and my fat feet. Thanks for all the input.

Hey, i have the reliks size 11 and i think they may be a tad big. Do you think molding them would help at all?

My Ronix Ones are humming.
I've only had them a month, only ride fresh water, leave them to dry in my shed.
Anyone have this issue or have any suggestions to stop it?

My old Cells never had this problem.

I wouldn't think so cause molding mine made them bigger. Ever try wearing thick socks in them, or those Lycra ones?

Someone suggested to me before that I put diluted dish liquid in mine before I ride, they always smell nice. If they get a bit funky I donit before and after I ride, then rinse them.
