Anyone know if this is a good lake to ride at? My wife wants to rent a houseboat here and I want to go to Shasta or Powell so any help on the riding conditions of Lake Mohave would be greatly appreciated.

Lake Mohave is a nice lake. It is pretty big so we can find calm water somewhere. However, the last few times I have been there it was pretty windy. it depends on when you go I guess. During the week, given the proper weather, you can find glassy water. Hope that helps.

I have been to Lake Mojave probably 50 times and Lake Powell a handful of times. When I say that Lake Powell is 100 times better than Mojave, I am not exaggerating. Don't let the wife talk you out of Powell. You will regret a trip to Mojave if you could have gone to Powell.

If you go out of cottonwood cove you will get decent water. I spend a lot of time on the water in this area and have been disappointed in the wind every trip this year (about six or seven times since march). For some reason its worse then usual. Mohave would not be my first choice to houseboat.
