Yes there is a difference between the Big Bang and the Earth revolves around the Sun. Just as there is a difference between evolution and books describing supernatural miracles by Gods. Nothing points to the validity of the supernatural interactions between gods and humans. And everything points to human's tendancy to believe and perpetuate irrational stories. Especially when it supports the idea of perpetual life.
If you walk through the woods and see a fallen leaf on the ground, you're pretty sure it came from a tree in the woods. You weren't there when it fell, but you are confident it didn't come from across the world and placed they by someone else even though it's possible. So you're 99.999% sure but can never know for a fact. That isn't the same as believing in say... a staff of wood turning into a snake.
