We have a local skate park that seems to be populated with kids between the ages of 7-18. I'm interested in sharpening my action photography skills and what better place to work than a skate park. I've approached the young adults overseeing the park and explained what I am doing, they have directed me to their supervisor who has yet to return my call. I'm pretty certain that I am legally allowed to take photo's in a public place without consent..Yes/no? Someone give me the skinny on that please.
Here's my concern- I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea and an old fella hanging around a skate park with a camera could be seen as creepy.
How to handle this?

Thanks in advance.

B-
